Shantibarta foundation took an initiative to organize a free health check-up& blood donation camp on 27th July under Kandi sub-division of Murshidabad.

Objective of the event:
Shantibarta Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organization of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, with the goal to improve the quality of life of the underprivileged in our society. This organization mainly helps in health, education, social welfare, skill development, counselling etc.
Our achievements:
In the past one year, our health & awareness workershave provided free services to many people by organizing campaigns in various remote areas of West Bengal. With everyone’scooperation, this foundation isdetermined to reach more people in the future.
A recap of the event:
The event started with an awareness rally about banning single use plastic combined with health check-ups, health awareness & blood donation campaigns. Students along withtheir guardians and poor people are given completely free health check-up (around 400 people) and medicines are distributed amongst needy.
About 44 blood donors came forward inspired by the mantra “Donating blood is a great donation”& everyone was provided with an umbrella by the foundation, i.e., suitable & a handy product for rainy season.
An educational counselling for the betterment of the students for their future studies of the class IX to XII students was also given.
At the beginning of the program Dr Abdus Samim contemporary health awareness writings were distributed among the guests & students in the form of booklets. Dr Jasimuddin khan shared his valuable words about thalassemia. On this occasion, a sanitary napkin vending Machine was inaugurated in the Madrasa. Pelvic Inflammation Diseases (PID)kits were distributed to about 100 students. Mrs.Santana Ghosh and Mrs. Devarati Pal of Kandi Sub-Divisional Hospital conducted women’s health counselling.
